| Our Future and Foundation Females The goal at Plum River Ranch is to produce quality Herefords that have the desired traits needed in today's industry, along with the look to compete in the show ring. To achieve our goal we have selected females that have these desired traits and breed them to the best bulls that the industry has to offer. EPD's are an important tool in the breed and we take them into consideration when making our breeding choices. We are striving to develop the perfect Hereford along with everyone else. We feel that we have built a very strong foundation of females and are letting nature take it's course through careful mating selection. We sell bulls and females annually and will have many embryo's and seedstock available in the future from these females pictured below, as well as our other quality females not pictured. |

| After several quality purchases from the Star Lake program we decided to purchase Roxie at the 2003 Star Lake sale to add to our donor heard. She is a massive female that holds herself together with a lot of muscle and an excellent set of legs. We feel that she can produce females and herd bulls packed with muscle and growth. As a yearling, Roxie was Reserve Grand Champion at Louisville and Kansas City. Her daughter Roxie Beth, pictured above was named 2005 Fort Worth Grand Champion Hereford Female and is owned by Star Lake. We will have embryo's and offspring available for sale in the near future. | I could write a book on what this cow has done for our herd. Pris came to us from the Dunwalke Dispersal as a recommended purchase by Jim Reed and we can't thank him enough for seeing her qualities and potential. Pris has more than paid her way. With more than 16 donors in her pedigree it wasn't a hard decision to turn her into one as well. We flushed her last year to Kilo and Channing and averaged 20 embryo's per flush. She has not missed with several sires. She has surpassed $15,000 in offspring sales including the high selling embryo's at the Wisconsin State Sale and the World Beef Expo. We have two outstanding 29F daughters in our herd (Diamond pictured above). Current AHA EPD's BW WW YW M M&G +2.6 +30 +49 +21 +35 |
