We select bulls that will compliment our females using overall thickness, structural correctness, depth of body and style as a few key requirements.  They must also demonstrate an above average spread in growth from birth to yearling.  We expect all of this along with the ability to pass on maternal traits to their daughters, as they will be replacing their mothers. Just as important as the traits listed above is the bulls phenotype and his ability to produce cattle that are competitive in the show ring.  We use EPDs more extensively in our bull selection to greater our chance of producing females that continue to improve both on paper and in production.
